I installed the app. How do I log in or sign up?
If you have a Plenty of Fish account, use your existing username and password to log in. If you are new to Plenty of Fish, tap click "Sign Up Now" and follow the steps. It only takes a few minutes to create an account and get started!
I can’t login, what should I do?
Ensure that you're using the right username and password. If you still can't login, tap the question mark icon and we'll help you get logged in.
How can I upload an image to my profile?
You can upload a photo with the Plenty of Fish app by following these instructions:
- Log in to the app
- Tap "Profile" on the dashboard
- Tap "Upload Images" and follow the instructions.
How do I turn push notifications on and off?
Plenty of Fish may send you push notifications when you receive a new message, when you are added as a favorite, or when someone wants to meet you. We may also notify you of local events.
On iPhone, follow these instructions:
- On your iPhone (not in the app) go to SETTINGS.
- Go to NOTIFICATIONS.
- In the list of apps, select Plenty of Fish.
- There, turn the "Alerts" on or off.
On Android, follow these instructions:
- From any page in the app, tap the menu icon on the top right corner of the page (three vertical dots) or your device's menu button.
- Click SETTINGS.
- Under Notification Settings, turn the push notifications and alerts on or off. You can also update the alert type.
You can enable or disable current location on the settings page
Plenty of Fish may still send you push notifications when you are logged out.
What are the benefits of becoming an upgraded member?
Plenty of Fish's upgraded membership gives you unlimited access to Plenty of Fish's premium features on web and mobile, including:
- See if your emails were read or deleted.
- Unlock every user's Extended Profile.
- Find out the date and time someone viewed your profile.
- Upload 16 images.
- Show up first on Meet Me!
And many more! An upgraded membership more than doubles your chances of meeting someone.
Can I edit my profile on the app?
Yes! To edit your profile:
- Log in to the app
- Go to Profile
- Tap "Edit Profile"
- Make the desired changes and save.
How does the search work?
The search feature uses your current location, or zip/postal code to determine your location. You must enable your current location for this feature to work. If your location isn't enabled, we will determine your location by using the zip or postal code you provided when you signed up.
Note: your exact position will never be revealed to other Plenty of Fish users. The feature uses your location to deliver matches in your vicinity. Please review the terms of Plenty of Fish's privacy policy via the top left tab of this page.
I need more help, what should I do?
If you’re experiencing issues with the app, please try the following:
- Ensure you have the most recent version of the app in the App Store or Android Play.
- Ensure you are connected to your network or wifi.
If your messages are not being sent:
- It could be because your are spamming out too many similar messages, using copy and paste, or your messages contain flagged words. Please wait 24 hours and try again.
- Your messages will also not go through if the recipient has messaging restrictions that prevent you from contacting them, or if you do not meet our age restrictions.
To report a profile, please follow these steps:
- On the profile of the user you'd like to report, tap the menu icon on the top left corner of the screen
- Select "Report User", and submit your report
How do I delete my Plenty of Fish account?
We are sorry to see you go! If you just wanted to hide your profile, please go to "Edit Profile" on your profile. Hiding your profile prevents you from showing up in all search results. If you are sure you want to permanently delete your account, please go to: pof.com/DeleteAccountB.aspx
How do I log out of the app?
To log out of the app, go to the Dashboard and tap the menu icon in the top right corner of the page or your device's menu button and select "Settings". On the Settings page, scroll all the way down to the Logout button.
