What are the special evolutions of the teal mask? ›

There are 6 evolution lines new to The Teal Mask that evolve via trade: Poliwhirl into Politoed, Feebas into Milotic, Graveler into Golem, Gurdurr into Conkeldurr, Phantump into Trevanant, and Dusclops into Dusknoir. They join Scyther, Slowpoke, and Haunter as Pokemon that require trading to evolve from the base game.

The method to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot is brand new to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: you must walk with your Pokemon for it to evolve. While the most basic method is to simply walk 1,000 steps, Pokemon players have found three effective ways to make this task a bit easier.

To evolve Finizen into Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet you need to fultil two tasks: get it to at least Level 37 and then jump into someone else's game before levelling it up again. To be specific, Finizen evolves into Palafin in Union Circle starting at Level 38!

To get Annihilape in Pokémon Go, you need 100 Mankey Candy and defeat 30 Ghost or Psychic-type Pokémon while your chosen Primeape is your buddy. You do not have to defeat these Pokémon with Primeape - it just needs to be your buddy.

You can do this by giving your Frigibax the Lucky Egg to hold, then participate in normal battles against wild Pokémon or trainers, Auto Battle, or use resources like Rare Candy and EXP Candy of various sizes. Frigibax will then evolve into Arctibax at Level 35, Then Artibax evolves into Baxcalibur at Level 54.

Tandemaus can evolve into Maushold starting at level 25 only when leveled up in a battle. You cannot use XP or Rare Candies to evolve Tandemaus — it will simply level up without evolving.

New Pokémon and forms

In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Stantler could evolve into Wyrdeer after it used the move Psyshield Bash 20x in the Agile Style. Since Agile and Strong Styles do not exist in Scarlet/Violet's gameplay, it's impossible to evolve Stantler in Paldea. Furthermore, Stantler cannot learn Psyshield Bash by leveling up in Gen 9.
