An upcoming fundraiser provides hope for homeless residents in Aiken County.

The fifth annual Table of Hope banquet will be held Friday, May 31. The Salvation Army of Aiken fundraiser is designed to raise awareness for the homeless community and support the critical needs of homeless individuals in the area. The event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center, and will be catered by The Deft Chef.

It includes a four-course meal with prime rib and pork tenderloin, entertainment by The Experiment and the I-20 Horns, and a cash bar from Palmetto Party Planning. Andrew Siders will conduct a live auction featuring a variety of items including a basketball signed by the coach of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Tournament champions.

“Aiken’s only emergency homeless shelter is struggling to keep their doors open,” said Salvation Army Capt. April Tiller “We are facing staggering increases of the number of homeless individuals and families we serve and we need community support.”

There are a limited number of tickets, and reservations are required. Tickets are $75, and can be purchased at Lionel Smith Ltd., Three Monkey’s, Return Engagement, and Vikki’s boutique locations on Whiskey and Pine Log Roads.
