JONES, Rodney Age 84 of Greenbrier, died Sunday, January 29, 2006. Born July 23, 1921 in Robertson County to the late J. V. and Ina Jones. Mr.

Jones was a retired general foreman from Ford Motor and was a member of Gideon United Methodist Church and the Greenbrier Masonic Lodge. Preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy M. Jones. Survived by his wife, Alene Dorris Jones; sons, Rodney C. (Maggie) Jones, Ronald E.

(Carol) Jones, Hugh D. Jones, all of Brighton, Ml, Richard T. (Martha) Jones of Tehachpi, CA, Kenneth A. (Brenda) Jones of Castalian Springs; daughters, Donna L. She died January 29, 2006. Ruby was the eldest daughter of a family of sixteen children, some who have preceded her in death. She was married to Bernard Jones Norris on August 20, 1938. They were married 51 years. They are survived by four children, Janelle Whitt (Bob), Celeste Sullivan (Jerry), Andrew Norris (Marian) and Charisse Westfall (Chris) and seven grandchildren, Will Zack Whitt (Linda) of Huntsville, AL, Ryan Stephanie Sullivan of Nashville, Cody Casey Norris of Bowling Green, KY and Hospital Corpsman Third Class Candace Norris and her great-great-grandson, Hayden Norris of Pensacola, FL.

degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College. She started teaching at Joyner School in Morgan County and finished at Arnold in Cleveland City Schools. She received a signal honor life membership in the Tennessee Congress of Parents Teachers, past president of Theta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teacher's sorority. She enjoyed the process of teaching young children to learn and develop. Her home for the last 12 years has been in Nashville.

Visitation Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 1 p.m. til service time 2 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg, TN conducted by Dr. Jim West of Petros Baptist Church. Burial at Liberty Church Cemetery.

Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Son of Mrs. Ida Lau Weigelt of San Diego, CA and the late Arthur Lau. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 3, 1931. A graduate from West Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio and in 1955 he graduated from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana where he was selected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.

He received a Bachelor of Divinity and a Master of Arts degree from Butler University School of Religion in Indianapolis. He received a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) from Syracuse University in New York. Dr. Lau was an ordained minister. He pastored churches in Indiana, Arkansas, New York and Tennessee.

In his teaching career he was a full time faculty member at Arkansas State University in Magnolia, Arkansas and at Middle Tennessee State University. Later he was self employed for many years at Don Lau's Tax and Financial Services in Mur-freesboro, TN. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wright Lau of Dickson, TN; his mother, Mrs. Ida Lau Weigelt of San Diego, CA; his daughters, Robbin Cross and her husband Alan of Franklin, TN, Cheryl Stewart and her husband Daniel of Caledonia, Mississippi; step children, Ken Johnson and his wife Lisa of Dickson, TN, Tara Ross and her husband Dave of Ashton, Idaho; grandchildren, Phillip Stewart and Patrick Stewart both of Caledonia, Mississippi, Nicholas Cross and Angela Cross both of Franklin, TN; step grandchildren, Colter Ross and Micah Ross both of Ashton, Idaho; three brothers, Richard Ronald Lau of San Diego, CA, Gerald Robert Lau of Pasadena, CA and Raymond Charles Lau of La Crescenta, CA. His remains are in the care of the Taylor Funeral Home, Dickson, TN, where visitation will be Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 4 til 8 p.m.

Miss Eakes was a lifetime member of the Center Chapel Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. Greatly loved and known in the community as "Aunt she opened her heart and her home by taking in those who were sick and homeless, and loved and cared for generations of children.
